Reminders

Hey guys just a little reminder that this friday is Safety night so there will be Fire trucks, Ambulances and also a Police car ! We will be having guest speakers talking to us about safety.

Also a little reminder on the trivia game were having. Dont forget to check the trivia questions because there are new ones everyday. Also Sorry if you go on the blog and the new one isnt up yet, I'm trying to have it up around 4ish so bare with me.

These are the questions so far,

1. What is a meeting place? What is it used for?
2. What do you do if your clothes catch on fire?
3. Sould you call 911 if you get a papercut why or why not? When is it proper to phone 911?
4. What is CPR? What does it stand for?
5. Should you answer the door when your home alone?
6. What is something that should be in every home that relates to safety?
7. When your outside what is the one place you NEVER play on?

Dont forget to search for the answers by asking parents, teacher or even a friend. We will be dicussing them during safety night & the winners get a PRIZE ! So have them ready.

* Trivia Challenge *

Alright kids, this is our first Trivia Challenge and hopefully first of many.

How to play:
Each day for the next 7 days a trivia question will be posted here, starting Today, Sept. 23 until Friday Sept. 30 (one week).

What you have to do is visit this blog everyday to get the next trivia question and find the answer to the question. On Friday Sept. 30 at the end of the night at Youth Group we will have a prize for the person who got the most trivia questions right. :)

So be sure to write down all the questions with the answers and bring them to youth group next Friday.

Rules:
You can use anything you would like to help find the answers, ask a friend, teacher or parent, or even search it on the internet. And the most important rule of all....

First Night!

We had a great turn out for the first night of youth group - 15 members!

What a great night it was. We made birthday calendar pages and played games!
Great fun!

Tomorrow Night!

TOMORROW NIGHT, FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 16th, is the first night of the Hillsborough Youth Group for the 2011-12 year! HOORAY!

There is lots of fun to be had so come join us and bring all your friends!

If you did not get a chance to register last week bring your parents with you to register or take a registration form home to fill out.

Hope to see you all at the hall at 7 pm on Friday!!

Tonight is Pre-Registration

I know you are all just as excited as I am to get youth group started so be sure to come out to the Hillsborough Community Centre tonight from 7-8:30 pm and register!!

One more week until the first night! Yahoo!!

First Day of School

Today is the first day of school and this week you will make new friends, meet new teachers, and learn lots of new things.

Everyone at the Hillsborough Youth Group wants to wish you a great first day of School.

Don't forget this Friday is Pre-Registration Night! Bring your parents to the hall between 7 & 9 and get them to sign you up. Registration Fees are $35/member.

September is finaly here!

Friday September 16 will be our first night at Youth Group and that is just around the corner!

The Leaders are very busy planning fun events for this year. If you have an idea for a youth group event write a comment on the Hillsborough Youth Group Facebook Page explaining your idea or comment here!

Some of the events already planned for this year include:

- Swim at Cari Pool
- Safety Night (Firemen, Fire Trucks, Ambulance, and Paramedics)
- Guest Speaker on making/creating Video Games
